Chris Gilmore
Rank: 4 kyu
Class: Entry and Basic Level- Friday night 6:30-8:30pm
Chris Gilmore started on his path of martial arts through his father Edward Gilmore. He was a 7th degree black belt in Karate and Taekwondo, and had study under the IPman and other sensei. Chris started with karate at 11 years old and continued for 6 years. He then switched to Taekwondo and continued that path for 4 years. After losing his father in 2011, he almost gave up Martial Arts altogether until he found Shin-Gane Aikido. After speaking with Sensei Mike about his school he decided to take the free class and learned what aikido truly is. He realized how this form of Martial Arts could be used in everyday life. He has been training in the art of Shin Gane Aikido for 6 years now, and has loved every minute of it.
